Operations is a broad field that may apply to many different majors and disciplines. Within the business school, there is an Operations emphasis, just like finance or consulting. Outside of the business school, there is a Statistics and Operations department, and many other academic departments utilize Operations Management, including Computer Science and Math. Even outside of these departments, majors such as English and Political Science can benefit from exposure from Operations Management.
