Operations is a broad field that may apply to many different majors and disciplines. Within the business school, there is an Operations emphasis, just like finance or consulting. Outside of the business school, there is a Statistics and Operations department, and many other academic departments utilize Operations Management, including Computer Science and Math. Even outside of these departments, majors such as English and Political Science can benefit from exposure from Operations Management.
Members will be given access to a private Sakai page that contains Operations-related documents and resources, as well as contact lists. These resources allow members to better explore the Operations and business world.
Members enjoy the privilege of being allowed to attend tours of companies such as Proctor & Gamble or PNC Arena. These tours provide valuable insight into the inter-workings of these companies, as well as networking with these industry professionals.
Members may attend monthly club meetings with professional speakers from companies like Amazon and WWL Logistics. These speakers allow members to make connections with professionals in a comfortable setting close to campus.
Members have access to club meetings and meet older members of the club to help explore their operational or business interest. Through these connections, members may work to improve things like their resumes or plan their class schedules.
